Reading something new is fun. It's exciting. You're breaking new ground. You can feel the progress.
No, actually, you can see the progress. Just look at all the books you've read.
But how much do you actually remember from them? (Spoiler: Not that much.)
Rereading something old might not feel as novel, but believe me, remembering something you've forgotten or seeing familiar things in a new light thanks to your evolved perspective?
That's the stuff.
So when looking for the next books to read, check your shelves or old reading lists first.
