Mikko Laksola

about me

I'm a high-functioning introvert generalist who excels at understanding, improving, and solving things. I love learning and finding new perspectives, which usually happens through reading and listening, then reflecting and writing about it.

Although I'm currently happily operating within a business context, my true passion lies in sports management. Especially the game of hockey, which I've been involved with for 30 years both as a player and scouting or helping young players.

Games have been hugely important to me throughout my life in shaping me into what I am today, teaching me many valuable skills like the English language, game theory, and strategic thinking, to name a few. There have been many important games over the years, but the most constant ones have been strategy games, various Nintendo franchises, and poker.

As a generalist, my wide range of interests has led me to dabble with many areas, which ultimately have helped me build a strong, holistic point of view and appreciation of things.

Some other areas of interests include:

My name is Mikko, but many call me Löki.
