How companies (and people) go from creative to static
Startups have a natural tendency to gradually become static as they grow into bigger, more mature companies.
People—especially the “creatives”—seem to have the same risk.
You're a startup/beginner with chaos and unclarity, but also creativity and flexibility.
You start figuring out how to do things.
You start wanting more systems, managers, and processes to create stability, repeatability, and efficiency.
You start becoming more structured and predictable, but also less flexible and creative.
The change might be a good thing.
But then again, you might be better off protecting some of that beginner magic.
